Pies on the Common 2009

2009 marks our 19th annual Pies on the Common Fair.

You are invited to participate and to attend (details)!

Bakers: three years ago, we had a pie shortfall, and had to turn away disappointed customers by noon. This year, please help meet our customers' expectations by baking a pie –or, better yet, several pies. However, we also gratefully accept "virtual-pie purchase" donations.

Other volunteers, you can help in these ways:

• Work an hour or two, or more, during the day. For available times and tasks, beginning with set-up at 7:30 a.m., to clean-up, after 3 pm, see Ruth.
• Buy tickets to the Quilt Raffle. Tickets are on sale at Social Hour.
• Sell tickets to the Quilt Raffle: pick up a sales kit, which contains several books of raffle ticket,s and a color photo of our quilt. Sell to friends outside First Parish!
• Publicize the fair (flyers): Pick up some flyers in Scott Hall (or print a few, in color, from this PDF file), and post them at your favorite local hangout, at work, and on a community bulletin board
• Publicize the fair (signs): If you live on a busy street, please pick up a colorful Pies sign, and place it outside your home, curbside. It’s an easy and effective way to boost visibility in the community.
