Welcome,
Visitors and Newcomers!
Visitors and Newcomers are always welcome at First Parish in Framingham,
Unitarian Universalist.
We were all newcomers and visitors ourselves
at one time and want to offer to you the friendship as well as the “space” to
explore our religious community.
Our church is located at 24 Vernon Street, which is at the top of the
town common in Framingham. Parking is available in our well-lit
lot. Our Sunday Services are at 9:15 and 11:00 a.m.,
from September through May.
As you enter our front door, you will be
greeted by one of our members, who will give you a Sunday program and
invite you to sign our guestbook
if you would like to do so. If you arrive early and would like to look
around the building, that is just fine—if you'd like a guided
tour, just ask the greeter; they will be glad to find someone who
can show you around.
We offer childcare. As well, children and youth come with their parents
into the Sanctuary on the first Sunday of each month for the first
part of the service before leaving for their religious
education programs.
If you have children or youth, you might want to arrive early and meet
our Director of Religious Education, Julie Porter, who can show you
all where the age groups
meet. We
think
you
will enjoy the RE program. Our primary concern is
that our visitors of all ages feel as comfortable as possible, and
your presence with your child is how this can happen best!
A Coffee Hour in our social hall follows Sunday services. At the
welcome table, just inside the door, you can stop to talk with
church members and ask questions, gather pamphlets, and find out more.
You can pick up a copy of the current church newsletter, which offers
information about events, programs, and meetings for the month. There
is also a pamphlet rack, on which you will find a myriad of program
descriptions and activities. Please help yourself to all available
information.
Throughout the week, we offer a variety of programs, activities and
events. We hope you will try one or more of these, in addition
to Sunday services. Please visit other sections of this web site for
more complete information on special and ongoing groups and
events.
And, of course, please introduce yourself to our
minister;
Rev. Kathleen Hepler is eager to greet you and answer your questions
about Unitarian Universalism and First Parish. Thank you for your interest.
We hope we will see you in church.
